Just like WhatsApp, using the Integration with Facebook Messenger has a variable login cost, which will be added to what you already pay for your plan with Sirena.

Why are Sirena sessions used?

Facebook's API service brings a lot of benefits to business. Among them, the main one, is that the API allows companies to enhance the attention of queries through complementary tools, such as Sirena.

When you use Sirena you are using the official Facebook API. As the API is commonly used by companies that can generate thousands of interactions, Facebook placed certain rules to prevent misuse of the application.

One of those rules is that to start a conversation you must use pre-approved message templates, which generate a cost when sent.

To structure this rule, Facebook created the concept of "Session". As this is a Facebook rule, everyone who is authorized to use the API, including our competitors, charges for submitting the templates needed to sign in.

This cost will be $0.01 for each session initiated, either by the client or one of your advisors.

What is a Facebook Messenger "Session"?

A message session starts when a contact sends a message to your business and concludes 24 hours after the last message received. Within that period the sending and receiving of messages is free of charge.

When you don't receive a response from the customer for 24 hours, you can no longer send them messages again. The client will need to send a new message; therefore, it will start a new session with its respective cost of 0.01 USD.

It is important to be clear that it is not charged per message, it is done per session.
